As a proud graduate of our public schools, I believe that our teachers and students deserve the best that we can offer. When re-elected, I will continue to support: 

 

- Higher pay for teachers

- Support for financial literacy for schools

- Capital Improvement Projects for school infrastructure

- Protect funds for education

- Support and expand Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) 

 

In 2026, the legislature passed automatic salary step increases for our teachers to improve teacher morale and retention rates. I'm also a major of supporter pre-k education, and in 2024, Ala Wai Elementary School became the first school in our neighborhood to be part of the Ready Keiki program. 

 

One of my favorite parts of being a legislator is class visits, and being able to talk to kids about the State government and to hear from them. Our kids are our future and as a public school graduate I know the value of our education system.
